I was wondering whether you can tell me how the creative excellence section will be staged? Will costumes be shown in the light, dark or semidarkness? Will they be illuminated for the whole time they are on stage ie should they hold their own unilluminated as well as when illuminated?

Dear Jude,

You have three options -

1 - If you are using materials that light up using LED's, batteries etc your entry will be shown as it is; a self lit garment. There will be ambient light or no lighting depending of the entries.

2 - If you are creating a garment that depends on the WOW show lighting your entry will be lit at various spots around the stage. A sort of now you see it now you don't. Into a black out then into a spot of light that will reflect your garments material and momentrily light it.

3 - If you are using just lights to create your entry then the shape is important. The lights could stay on full time or switch on and off.

It is going to be a very exciting section.
